Oreos Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

In honor of Oreo’s 100th Birthday, this week I made Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies. Bit of a mouthful to say? More of a mouthful to eat! These cookies are literally an Oreo wrapped in a chocolate chip cookie. After eating one straight from the oven I can actually say, these are the best cookies I have ever eaten. While the cookie is still warm, the Oreo tastes like you just finished dunking it into a glass full of milk (which is of course the best way to eat an Oreo).

I know, I know, why mess with a good thing? Oreos are great for dunking, twisting, licking & then finally eating! Fun fact, according to Kraft “50 percent of Oreo eaters pull apart their cookies before eating, and women twist them open more often than men.” With such a variety of ways to devour it, be it by a man or woman, you really can’t go wrong. But I’m in the business of product development. Which means that we take foods, even those that are 100 years old and make them even better!

Things I noticed at the grocery store…

This weekend my family and I took a trip down to the new Loblaws at the old Maple Leaf Gardens! I’ve been hearing SO much hype about the “cheese wall”, the Ace Bakery section & all of the great things this new location offered. I remember when it opened my sister even raved about the red carpet. Yup, there was a red carpet!

Illegible Labels

I know for me, it happened, (and still happens) ALL of the time. And sure, maybe this is one of the many reasons why I need to move out… but till I do, I’m finding fault with the food companies and for that matter, the government too! Take a look at the photo below and you may have an idea about what I’m talking about, or click continue reading & I’ll set up the scenario for you.

Brookie Mud Pie

A couple of weeks ago my mom and sister went to Miami to visit my cousin. While there they ate “the most delicious dessert I have ever eaten”. They claimed it was “so easy to make and she made a bunch at a time and froze them for later”. Needless to say, I was intrigued. My cousin calls it her “Mud Pie”, but what it actually is, is probably the best 3-in-1 dessert you’ve ever tried. It’s a brownie-cookie-pie, or brookie mud pie.

Basically when I made this recipe I made 4 pies, and I can tell you that within delivery all 4 pies were devoured within 24 hours! So if you like cookies, brownies and even a yummy pie crust, then I think this is the dessert for you!

Pasta Salad with Green Onion Dressing

‘Tis the season for another work potluck. I’m not sure why my company doesn’t have a larger Holiday Party, but as a coworker pointed out to me today. Something is better than nothing! So very very true….
For this potluck I was told to not make anything sweet (they had bought a cake) so instead I decided to make a pasta salad with green onion dressing. It looked a little something like this…

I based this recipe off of one I found HERE (the Food Network website). However I did change it up a bit. Not because it looked bad, I just didn’t want to go out and buy ingredients. Continue on to learn how to create this wonderful recipe yourself!
